Mantel

Mantel is the largest bicycle retailer in the Netherlands, with roots going back to 1938, when it started as a small bike shop in Arnhem. Today the company operates an omnichannel business combining four physical Superstores - in Arnhem, Den Bosch, Rotterdam and Utrecht - with the mantel.com online platform, and serves cycling enthusiasts across Europe. It employs over 500 staff.

The company's technology is built and run in-house. Its e-commerce platform, mantel.com, was developed entirely by its own teams, as are the systems that support the rest of its operations. Technical work spans e-commerce platform development, omnichannel retail technology and the internal tooling behind a business that sells both online and through its stores.

The product range covers complete bicycles - including electric, road, mountain, city, cargo and children's bikes - alongside bike parts, cycling clothing, accessories and turbo trainers. Mantel reports a Trustpilot rating of 4.7/5. Its stated mission is to "put a Mantel bike on every corner of the street".
